Transcript: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE Thank you. Njegos Dukic December 2019. INTRODUCTION The theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, translation between languages, and others.. In computer science, Artificial Intelligence (Machine Intelligence) is intelligence demonstrated by machines in contrast to natural intelligence displayed by humans. Term AI is often used to describe machines or computers that mimic "cognitive" functions that we associate with human mind such as learning or problem solving. INTELLIGENT AGENTS Study of "intelligent agents" - Entities that perceive the environment and take actions that maximize their chance of successfully achieving goals. " " www.openai.com AREAS OF RESEARCH Expert Systems Robotics Natural Language Processing Neural Networks Fuzzy Logic Other REAL LIFE APPLICATIONS Social Networks Industrial robots & automation Deep Fake Game Playing Smart Assistants (Google, Alexa, Siri) Planning Automatic Voice Output Military drones, rockets Face recognition Clinical Systems Handwriting recognition Reporting, Accuracy, Presenting Self - Driving cars Smart Home Devices Security and Surveillance Flight - tracking systems FUTURE OF AI Weak AI vs. Strong AI Predictions Industry Experts, Heavy Hitters of our age like Elon Musk and Bill Gates, and many other enthusiasts expressed their opinion on AI in various podcasts, talk shows and interviews. Smarter Personal Assistants/Personalized companions. Incorporation in everyday life. Real - time feedback on our health and habits. Personalized recommendations. Self - driving cars and other jobs automation. Perfect AI. Security risks and concerns. Weak (Narrow, Specific) AI - AI that is focused on one particular problem or task domain and has pre - programmed responses for a specific commands. They scan for things that are similar to what they already know and classify them accordingly. Alexa, Siri, industrial robots, self-driving cars, recognition systems... Strong (Broad, General) AI - Machine intelligent enough that it can handle any general cognitive task in any setting, just like human brains. Not yet developed. Should be able to handle any task or problem in any domain. AGI - Artificial General Intelligence. Turing Test & Chinese Room Test.
