Transcript: The Importance of Reading and information literacy Thank You Professor Robinson It was a pleasure having you This Fall semester 2016 And all my Classmates MYSELF DESCRIPTION I learn How to learn Through this chapter, i improve my reading comprehension, by reason that reading comprehension is the gateway to success in school and beyond. If you can read and understand something, you can learn it and use it. In exchange for my risk of effort in commitment. i earn a broad and deep range off knowledge. I realized in that course that the more you read, you know more things. And reading is the base of college success. Myself Description and what makes me Unique When you set a goal, you focus more on what you want to achieve and then create a path to get you there. Goals are important for every single person but i acquire in my CSS class that it's very important for a college student to have a goal so you can succeed easily. Because that's the only way to get to your ends, If you don't have a goal in college so then you don't have your place in college. My name is Awa Niang, I'm 19 years old. I graduated last year from High School and I am in my freshman year at Essex County College. I consider myself as a brilliant student, smart, nice , and friendly. I am also a kind of person that loves interact with people. What makes me unique is that I am a hard worker, and I also believe in myself. If I want something, I will have it no matter how. I will do everything to get to my ends. Why is it important to know what your value? BY Awa Niang MYSELF DESCRIPTION Working trough that chapter help me to assess my learning preferences. Because by knowing that, it will be easier for me to learn and study without no difficulty. I realized that the more i know about myself, the more effectively i can analyze courses, study environments, evaluate partners, and decide what, how and where to study. I know now what type of intelligence i have and what the specific abilities with it. I learn in my College Success Seminar class that we are the only one who can succeed easily if we make some value on what we are doing. The choice to pursue a degree, for example, may reflect only how you value the personal and professional growth that come from a college education. In one word, know what you want out of lie and put some values on it so it can be easier to achieve whatever goals you must have. Values also can affect you life experience by reason that your value often determines the choices you make, your values also shape your life experiences. For example, the fact that you value education may have led you to college. Always have a specific Goal in your life Success is liking yourself, liking what you do and liking how you do it. Three Top things that I acquired in my CSS 101 Class To succeed in college, you should have those three points: Values, Goals, and also Time The Final and third one is Time. I realized that the main point of college success is Time. As a college student, we must know how to manage our time. The first step in time management is to investigate your personal relationship with time. The more you're aware of your own time-related behaviors, the better your weaknesses. In one word, to not procrastinate, we should manage our time. PowerPoint Presentation College success seminar (CSS 101) Professor Robinson Fall 2016 Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better do better.
