Transcript: Understanding of Social Work *When I think about how Social work and helping the children at church can combine. I think about the help that I was able to provide to the kids. I was able to keep them educated and having fun without distracting the church. * I was able to have conversations with older youth around the ages of 14 and 17. I was able to help them with their school work and with some stressful events that may have happened in thier life since I have been volunteering there. *Being a social worker our job is to help and make sure people are cared for. Heard. And understood in this negative world we live in right now. The Supervisers Activites and Teaching Personal Testismony Zandra Clark More History Douglass Chapel has served more than 60 members since 2005 Services Offered: Youth and Young adult leader. Becoming A Missionary So when I was provided with the opporinty to be of help to the youth and young adult of the church, I was very excited. It provided me with the chance to teach youth and kids on how to love the Lord and how to incorporate the information for the children. When I was little, I would get very bored in church. I would rather be on my phone and talk and play with my friends. Only because I never really understood or caught the grasp of what the preacher was saying. Ms. Zandra Clark has been a member of Douglass Chapel for over 20 years. *As as superviser she oversees all the youth and young adult activities. *She helps plan the church events that will involve the children and kids. * She plans children church for the kids. In the late 1800’s a small frame church house was built about three miles east of Stanton, Tennessee in Haywood County. Douglass Chapel C.M.E church It was established under the name of Antioch Colored Methodist Episcopal Church. The church members with God’s help decided to rebuild and name the church after the generous person, so they called it Douglass Chapel Colored Methodist Episcopal Church In 1907 a storm destroyed the church, and a few of the dedicated members saw fit to rebuild another church, this time it was a small brick building My work Impact 1 With the events and activies I plan with the children. Some have reached out and asked me to come back and plan more activites. Some parents have told me they love how I try and incorapate the word of God to the children. Also how to apply it to their everyday lives 4 5 Homelessness in the city My Role People without homes have trouble with eating and finding shelter in the storms Homelessness is an issue in the city of Stanton, Brownville and all around the world because of many reasons. It is a problem because of the costs of living. Apartments rents may start at $1,000. Most people don't even make over $600 in one paycheck *Building strong friendships with the children at the church. *Teaching them the smaller yet meaningful things of life and church *Teaching them how to have fun in church *Planning activites that envole the Bible

Transcript: I would try and show them that they don’t need Prince, that they all can work together and be just as good of a team. I would try to make them feel like a brand new team, that they can blow all the fans away and be just as good, even better than before. we think that Prince Fielder will leave the Brewers to go to a new team. He can possibly make more money, be on a better team, get a good offer & he should take advantage of his baseball skills. Photo credits: 'horizon' by pierreyves @ flickr *Brewers will not have Prince's well known name *Will loose business from fans that follow Prince *Will need a new valuable player to market off of If I was the General Manager, I would show Prince how well his team has done and how well they all work together. I would tell him that a lot of people that have become his fan are fans of the team that he is a part of. I would tell him that he is a part of Milwaukee, and that fans may be torn when it comes to cheering for the Brewers, or the new team that he will be a part of. Free Agency Staying *The team Prince moves to can market his name to their team *If they use this to their advantage & market accordingly, it will bring in sales If Prince were to leave, I would find a new player to take his place and “lead” the team, kind of like Aaron Rodgers taking over for Brett Favre. I would try to market the Brewers in a new way, maybe change their jerseys to make them seem “new & improved.” Sales our reaction.... Marketing & Sales of Brewers If I were a general manager.... *The Brewers sales will potentially go down *will not have the merchandise of Prince to sell *will affect sales of tickets, people will go watch Prince on other team *may want to keep their fans *has been with the team for so long *has done well with the team Marketing & Sales of New team Marketing *the opposing team is offering more money if they switch teams *the other team may be more competitive *may be a better team overall *It will bring in money for their new merchandise with Prince's name *Will increase their ticket sales, which will increase food sales Reasons for leaving & staying leaving Sales To keep sales the way the are....
